What I Learned in 2021

The Sequel to "What I Learned in 2020"

At the beginning of 2021, I released a video entitled, "What I Learned in 2020". It encapsulated all of the lessons life handed me at the time and revealed some of my deepest thoughts and feelings. 2020 was the year I learned I had severe anxiety and moderate depression. Being open and honest about my experience with mental health for the first time, was scary yet the best thing I'd ever done for myself. In doing so, I connected with so many friends and acquaintances in also learning that I'm not alone in this. Many people suffer from depression and anxiety daily, but keep it hidden deep in fear of judgement and/or shame. I believe the stigma around mental health and seeking help, is a serious issue - and hope that with speaking about it more will normalize prioritizing self-care, self-reflection, and self-love.

"What I Learned in 2021", is a continuation of all the things I learned in the year to follow. I learned about love for the first time, I learned more about pain and anguish, and I learned about the importance of getting to know yourself better, and prioritizing your wants and needs.
